ELECTRICAL   PROJECT  MANAGER

Job Specifics

• Determine scope of assigned projects, job objectives, schedules, budget considerations, and personnel assignments;
• Initiate, develop, and maintain working relationships with industry partners including clients, design professionals, subcontractors and vendors
• Review and provide management and technical support and approval or contract requirements and documents prior to initiating the work, in negotiating contracts, change orders and scope detail;
• Schedule, assign, and direct the work of project staff;
• Monitor quantity and quality of work performed by project staff;
• Negotiate and resolve all customer concerns in an ethical and timely manner;
• Oversee pre-con meetings to ensure successful handoff from estimating department to the field;
• Interpret plans, specifications, drawings and documents related to engineering;
• Interact closely with internal teams to ensure project needs and objectives are understood and met;
• Develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize and accomplish work in a timely and professional manner;
• Coordinate project construction responsibilities with field personnel and customer contacts to resolve critical and time-sensitive construction-related electrical issues;
• Provide coaching and/or counseling when required;
• Handle contract documentation to include purchase orders, submittals, transmittals, contract status updates, RFIs and payment applications;
• Estimate change orders for assigned projects, when necessary;
• Manage project close out procedures, to include close out documentation and internal project review to determine areas for future improvement.

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree (electrical engineering degree)
• 5 years successful electrical experience
• Prior experience in electrical estimating
• Strong computer skills (AutoCad, Microsoft Office)
• Excellent verbal and written communication (English)
• Outstanding interpersonal skills
